Shape memory alloy (SMA) simulation in Ansys mechanical: Part1
In this video we demonstrate the capabilities of the Ansys shape memory alloy material model for materials such as Nitinol. There are 3 different options. Here we focus on the easiest to use of them all, the superelastic model. This model contains allows for austinite martensite transformation, different austinite and martensite stiffness, different tension and compression behavior.
