Principals and librarians in Christchurch schools share their journey of transformation from a traditional book hub to a dynamic Modern Library Learning Environment (MLLE). With their open and flexible spaces, these MLLEs are the whare pukapuka, and meeting place for the school community. And school librarians play a crucial role in enhancing the learning outcomes of students: encouraging reading engagement, access to books and online information, and promoting the teaching and sharing of digital literacy skills and digital citizenship among students and staff.
