The History of Mexico Before The Spanish (3000 BC - 1521 AD)
Mexico’s history began at least 10,000 years ago when evidence of the first human settlers in the region can be found. The earliest known human remains in Mexico are of the ‘Tepexpan Man’ found beneath modern Mexico City. He was a hunter-gatherer who was buried alongside mammoth bones around 8,000 BC. Hunter-gatherers like him probably first arrived in Mexico from the north, where they spread out and lived nomadic lives for thousands of years.
