Today, the CVS technique is accepted as the most effective method for reducing morbidity and mortality associated with laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) recommends the CVS as the most effective approach to prevent bile duct injury. An accessory right hepatic artery (aRHA) refers to an additional artery of the right liver, while a normal branch derives from a proper hepatic artery (PHA). By careful dissection of Calot's triangle to make CVS finding such abnormalities is easier.
